Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Shop Forman — Alexandria,
VA

Job Description: This position performs
scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to heavy equipment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent
diagnostic skills, prior experience on all power train components along
with experience on A/C, electrical, Hydraulic, & Braking Systems.
Equipment includes: CAT D7, D8, 826, 963, D25. Job includes supervising
shop staff and management of parts supply stock.
Essential Knowledge and Skills
- 5 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of all types of equipment or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Good knowledge of the repair, maintenance, and modifications of light and heavy gasoline, electric, and diesel powered equipment.
- Ability to use all types of auto machinist equipment and tools effectively.
- Familiar with use of repair manuals and parts books.
Other Skills: English/Spanish speakers a plus.
