Sales and Marketing Coordinator— Alexandria, VA
Non-profit — Architectural Education
Full-time (FT)
$30-40K + benefits package

Key Role: Provide sales and marketing support to sales executive and sales management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to sales executives.
  • Prepare materials for proposals, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Proof new sales and marketing materials.
  • Keep inventory of all marketing collateral and order additional pieces when necessary.
  • Prepare PowerPoint sales presentations.
  • Field sales calls and take service orders from clients when necessary.
  • Prepare reports using MS Word and Excel.
  • Enter sales data into Zeus database as appropriate.
  • Special projects as required by management.

Experience Required: 1-2 years in a similar role

Education Required: College education preferred

Associated Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Polished and professional written and verbal communication skills;ability to interact with clients and at all levels of the organization by phone or in person in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong attendance and punctuality; ability to contribute to a positive team spirit; positive attitude towards work, coworkers and management.
  • Ability to respond quickly to team and client needs; to meet commitments.
  • Ability to problem-solve and find creative solutions to problems using available resources.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work occasional extended hours, including evenings and weekends as needed to meet business needs.

Physical Demands: Ability to sit for long periods, to use hands for keyboarding and writing, ability to speak and hear, to use close and distance vision, to walk on level surfaces, and to bend and lift occasionally (e.g. to maintain or store company files.) Work Environment: Ambient lighting and temperatures, typical office equipment, low to moderate noise levels characteristic of an office environment.=

Evaluation Process: 90 days initial performance; annual thereafter - performance and goal-based.

Guidance Provided By: Immediate supervisor, peers, sales team members.

Other Skills: Computer skills have to be very strong… will be creating Excel spreadsheets and keeping all kinds of sales data in those. Experience with creating sales contracts would be great.
