Project Expeditor — Fairfax, VA
Water Feature Design Company
Could be full-time (FT) or part-time (PT) and
Some work could be done from home
No evenings, weekends
Mid $30's to low $40's
Job Description: The company designs, builds, and maintains commercial and residential water features throughout the Greater Washington, DC Area. This position reports directly to the head of the Design/Build Division in managing construction projects. The position reports directly to the Build Director but requires a high degree of independent work.
Applicable Skills:
- Attitude: An eagerness to learn, enthusiasm, and the desire to accomplish
- Hands-on experience in commercials construction
- Project management background
- Abili8ty to read and interpret architectural drawings
- Good communication skilled in both writing and speaking
- Must be able to get along with people
- Computer literate. Excel preferred, project management systems a plus
- Detail-oriented
- Background in pool or fountain construction very helpful
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of the Design/Build Division in managing and administering construction projects
- Interpret architects' drawings as a basis for procurement
- Specify and procure project materials
- Assist the Director in trouble-shooting
- Provide project submittals, documentation, and "As-Builts"
- Scheduling
