About Senior Employment Resources

Senior employment Resources (SER) is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that provides staffing solutions to employers throughout the metropolitan Washington D.C. area. Since its founding in 1983 SER has placed over 10,500 employees largely in small to mid-sized companies in all industries and professions. SER specializes in identifying and providing reliable, experienced and mature job seekers, age 50 and over, to meet the staffing needs of its employers.

SER Placement Services

SER maintains an extensive databank of talented and experienced candidates that can satisfy employer staffing requirements for almost any job vacancy. SER only refers job seekers that meet the specific job requirements outlined in a Job Order and insures that employers have full control and authority over the entire selection process from interviewing to final hiring decisions.

SER Placement Fees

SER’s business model is based upon a 90% volunteer staff consisting of industry related managers and business executives, and as such, its placement fee structure is among the lowest in the employment industry. The placement fee to employers is equivalent to only two weeks salary or wages for full-time or part-time positions filled. For temporary employee placements, the fee is 10% of the referrals total salary. Fees are not payable until after 30 days of the candidate's commencing employment, and after SER has confirmed the employer’s complete satisfaction with the new employee.

A Job Order is your request to SER to assist you in filling your position. There are two convenient ways to submit a Job Order to SER:
